On all Hallows Eve, the veil the living and the dead grows thin. On this night creatures come out to play that have been dormant all the other months of the year. There’s a chill in the air that seeps down into the Kudu’s bones. The moonlight shines across the pumpkin patch. It’s too silent, eerily so. The air whispers through her ears. A light laughter carries on the lazy breeze. She knows he’s here now. Vines slither around her hooves, moving on their own, brought to life by the holiday. She smiles softly. She cannot wait to see what tricks and treats the pumpkin king holds for her.
